Hello girls,
This is my first time ever using a blog, so please bare with me!!! I have been thinking of several ideas for our overall project for local history. This is an idea I am still trying to work through but, I was thinking we could do some sort of scavenger hunt of some very important land marks in kalamazoo or the western part of the state and we could have them research or do something fun an informational with them. This may be a terrible idea but just a thought! Let me know what you think!?
Thanks,
Megan
No, that is a great idea! I did something like that in my art class here at western. We had a sheet with clues on it and then had to figure out where and what building it was and go to it for the next clue. It was a walking tour of downtown basically starting at east campus! We could do basically the same thing. Let me know if this is the kind of thing you are talking about, or if I am way off.
ReplyDeleteRemember, for PBL you need a big project that you will invite friends, family and community members to. If you are doing a scavenger hunt, there will be a lot of work to do ..... but be sure it is a semester long project working up to the day of the scavenger hunt.
