What are your lesson plans about?? We can't have the same, so let me know what you are doing.
I was thinking about doing a local history intro lesson, it would have kids "quiz" themselves, classmates, family, etc. about what they know. When was Kalamazoo founded, who started the town, local facts, stuff like that. That would be their data collection and then they would create graphs to show what they already know about the local history before really starting the unit.
I was thinking I could do my lesson on the most popular attraction within kalamazoo. I could have the students ask friends, family, and their community members. And they would then create graph showing their findings! I was thinking of narrowing it down to a few attractions that we will be seeing in the future from our field trips!?

ReplyDeleteI think I am going to do one on East Campus. It is historical to Kzoo and I think the kids can come up with different scenarios of what should be done with it and then ask others as a survey and collect data to see what Kalamazoo thinks as a whole. Is that an okay idea?
